Extend Your Outdoor Entertaining

Updated: Oct 16, 2022

Even though summer is coming to an end, your outdoor entertaining does not need to! Here are ways to enhance your outdoor entertaining and extend these fun gatherings well into the chillier months!

1. Create Different Seasonal Seating Areas:

Wherever you entertain create a variety of seating areas around your outdoor space to allow guests to spread out and socialize. There are limitless possibilities for seating configurations- mix it up and get creative! Chaise lounges and ottomans poolside during summer and outdoor armchairs by the fire pit during fall. Seating around a fire is the best way to warm up your outdoor space and give you an extra reason to linger outside as the weather cools down.

2. Blanket anyone?

Consider placing throw blankets over each seat for your guests to snuggle up in. The Life has a great selection of throws to choose from! Some throw blankets are even pre-treated with bug repellent to keep mosquitoes and flies away! Keeping a few of these handy ensure cozy (and bug-free) comfort for you and your guests.

3. Let there be light!

Okay, so string lights won’t technically keep your guests warm, but they will provide that cozy vibe and keep the party going long after dark. String lights, paper lanterns and candles are all great options! The Life is known to carry an array of beautiful candle options with seasonal scents.

4. Stock the Bar:

What would a party be without the bar? Stock up on all of your cocktail ingredients (did someone say spiked apple cider?) You don’t need an elaborate outdoor kitchen to have a fabulous cocktail situation! Something as simple as a bar cart will do- and will help you stay close to the fire pit on those chillier nights.

5. Think warm thoughts!

Cute thermal mugs are a great addition to your outdoor entertaining staples. Fill them up with hot coco, soups, a hot tody, and so much more. Check out The Life’s favorite thermal mugs- they make for a wonderful gift!
